NORWAY HAS BANNED DENTAL AMALGAM!!! COULD GAHANNA BE NEXT?

Ban of Amalgam in Norway – from the desk of Dr. Mark Levy, Gahanna Ohio.
As the debate over whether or not amalgam is safe to use rages on in the United States, Norway has decided to ban the use of mercury in production, importing and exporting. Despite the reports from the EU stating that it poses no risk to humans.
This ban encompasses amalgam fillings, thermometers and any other product that contains mercury. Norway’s minister of the environment, Erik Solheim, stated that the ban was made to protect the environment. “Mercury is one of the most dangerous environmental toxins,” he says. “Satisfactory alternatives to mercury in products are available, and it is therefore fitting to introduce a ban.” Sweden has also banned the use of mercury in a similar manner.

Thanks for the appropriate comments from an MD – very rare, congratulations – from an amalgam victim, among probable millions, including most members of my family, tragically devastated…

I noticed a few years ago that Russia had banned ALL salmon imports from Norway due to accumulated mercury (and other toxins such PCBs)

Okay, then what can we do to get mercury banned in the US? Just for starters…

Please contact your congressperson and your senators. You may want to link up with the attorney, Charlie Brown. He is spearheading what is going on with the FDA. Thanks for helping! MLL

Do you see a trend? You won’t see a dental amalgam ban there for a long time. Economy dictates. MLL

I am terrified to go to the dentist! I have a really strong gag reaction and I have panic attacks. I tried laughing gas but it didn’t work and the dentist wasn’t nice at all. Now I have a mouth full of cavities that are starting to really hurt. For the sleeping kind, are you actually asleep? Did you gag or feel nauseas during the procedure or after? Do you have to have films taken first? How much does it cost? Sedation Dentists?

Teeth grinding is considered one of my most embarrassing secrets. The worst thing is, I did not even know about it until one of my girlfriends confronted me about it in the morning and every morning after that (we broke up – but that’s a different story) and I didn’t just like the feeling. I attempted getting a dental guard for it, after taking a look at sites about how to stop grinding teeth, however then my jaws would get sore, and my teeth ached. It is an actual trouble, particularly if I’m staying with my girlfriend, as I might get up in the mornings, with drool all over if I’m wearing a teeth guard. When you have any details about teeth grinding, I’d appreciate it if you happen to share – thanks!

Grinding can be a sign of other problems, possibly Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Does she tell you that you snore? MLL

Hello, great blog! I’ve used this procedure a number of times already and i’ve had great results. All dentists should take note of this. Fast with a good end result, what more could you need? Thanks.
